Step 1: fly from your home to Lima, Peru.  (usually day 1) Flights from US often arrive evening.  There is one hotel at the airport connected by skybridge for an easy walk.  
Step 2: fly from Lima to Cusco.  (usually day 2) Adios Adventure Travel guide will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to your hotel.  We offer an awesome walking city tour if you want to stretch your legs.  
Step 3: check in to your hotel. (usually day 2) Walk to local restaurants.  Try Mi Manera for authentic Peruvian cuisine.
Step 4: transfer to train station in Ollantaytambo (usually day 3) Adios guide & driver pick you up for the 2 hr drive through the Sacred Valley. Option to include stops at Chinchero weavers village and Moray Greenhouse ruins. Stop in Urubamba for lunch.
Step 5: board the train to Aguas Calientes (usually day 3) Take the evening train for the 1.5 hr ride to AC where you walk to your hotel for checkin in.  Pedestrians-only village where you can walk everywhere.
Step 6: board shuttle bus for 30 min ride to Machu Picchu (usually day 3) Afternoons are less crowded than mornings.  Open 6 am - 5 pm
Step 7: show your passport & pre-purchased entry ticket (usually day 3) For our groups we take care of all the tickets in advance.  Our guide will conduct an amazing guided tour of the Incan citadel followed by time to wander and explore on your own.
